Difference between Case Savers:
The XR's only Case Saver has a big anchor that threads onto the engine mount bolt.
The Kiwi Case saver, or SRC Just hangs over the frames cross over bar and you have a good chance of busting the two small bolts that hold it on.
I did this after I installed the recluse auto clutch. The installation has you add a 8mm spacer to the clutch case cover. I was going on a Big Jawbone ride in the rocks and had my left arm in a cast that went from the tip of my fingers to just short of my elbow. I thought there might be a chance of a crash or two.....came back with a broken collarbone but, my cover was still in great shape!!!
